Earl Grey Tea

A traditional loose leaf Earl Grey Tea from the Rare Tea Company blended with single estate black tea and pure bergamot oil. This is a classic British tea made to exacting standards. A clean and exceptionally bright infusion with exhilarating citrus notes. It can be enjoyed with or without milk, or with a twist of lemon zest.

Origin and Craft: The belief in doing things well has persevered at Tregothnan; the Estate has stayed within the same family since 1335. At the heart of the Estate is the private walled Botanic Garden. Tregothnan is passionate about growing and collecting plants, including many rare specimens and this passion is the inspiration for cultivating the first-ever English Estate Tea.

Preparation: 

• Quantity:   Use 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water.
  
• Temperature:   For the optimum infusion use 90°C (194°F) water.  If you enjoy your tea with milk, please use 100°C (212°F) water.
• Time:   Infuse for 45 seconds to 2 minutes, tasting regularly.
  
• Infusions:   You can infuse this tea at least twice.  With each careful infusion, different subtleties of flavor are revealed.  
• Cost per cup:  16 cents per cup based on 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water and 2 infusions.
